Green Valley Aromatherapy – March 2018
Hi Aroma Friends,
Spring is a heart full of hope!!
Stress is one of the most commonly complained about ailments. Everybody has had a taste of it at some time or another. My eleven year old granddaughter comments on how stressed she is, often with hand on head.
When we were her age, we did not have a TV set, let alone computers, cel phones, ipads and all of the electronic games that are now available. We played outside all day long during the holidays and after school until we were called to go home.
There were few cars about in our area. We played street games like Hide-and-Seek, Simon Says and Kick-the-Can. There were usually a few seniors sitting outside of their houses who would turn the rope so we could skip and who would act as a referee if any falling out started. There were numerous street games that boys, girls, big kids and little kids could play. We were never bored. The only time we went home was for a bathroom break or for a drink of water.
We have big news! Our new website is now up and running! This whole process turned out to be more complicated than we expected and took a lot longer. We are very happy with the result and highly recommend Array Web & Creative. If you come across any mistakes or have any feedback on the new design, please let us know!
All the best,
Barb
Profile on Rosemary Essential Oil:
Rosemary essential oil (Rosmarinus officinalis) is an absolute must for your aromatherapy box. If you can only take 6 essential oils on vacation with you, Rosemary should be one. The properties of the oil are very wide and very useful.
Rosemary essential oil is considered a brain stimulant. A lot of Mums buy this oil for their offspring hoping it will help them study. Other properties of Rosemary are diuretic, hepatic (stimulates the function of the liver and gall bladder), cephalic, and astringent. Rosemary is well known for its tonic effect, stimulating hair growth and helping with scalp disorders, cellulite and circulation.
You may choose to use Rosemary Hydrosol which is very mild compared to the essential oil. This does not mean that it is any less effective, but can be used by people with sensitive skin, seniors or those who have very dry skin.
Rosemary Essential Oil and Rosemary Hydrosol are on Sale for 15% off in March 2018!

Recipe for Communication
I have talked with many people over the years who are not happy in their relationship. They do not know why. Things are just not flowing right. Then there are siblings who are constantly at logger heads with each other. I am sure you can think of other examples.
I did some research on this issue and discovered that in a lot of cases communication problems are the cause. Some people have a hard time expressing themselves especially if emotions are involved. I have put together the following recipe to encourage the flow of feelings that may be repressed.
5 drops of Frankincense Essential Oil
5 drops of Geranium Essential Oil
5 drops of Australian Sandalwood Essential Oil
Add the essential oil drops to 15 mls of Fractionated Coconut Oil.
Massage the formula into your upper back, shoulders, base of the neck and chest. Fractionated Coconut Oil is a light, non-greasy product that soaks easily iinto the skin. It is composed of saturated fatty acids, is soothing and is suitable for all skin types.
