2022 02: Aromatherapy Newsletter February 2022

Green Valley Aromatherapy – February 2022

Dear Aromatherapy Friends,
Though is seems that winter goes on and on, if you look hard enough you can see small signs of the seasons change. Yes, spring is on the fringe of these chilly February days. Buds are forming, snowdrop, crocus and daffodil bulbs are awakening and birds are becoming more active. Despite these little glimpses, this time of year can be rather tedious.
In years past many people have fled to warmer climates. As that’s not possible for most, another way to beat the late winter blues is to plan a tropical themed gathering. If Covid-19 restrictions have made it inappropriate to host guests, even fun with the folks you share your home or bubble with can become a delightful reprieve. Turn up the heat, add a revitalizing blend to your diffuser (Sunshine or Tropical Delight would be excellent) and bust out your favorite summer dresses and Hawaiian shirts. Delicious, exotic appetizers; blended beverages (Pina Colada or Margarita anyone?), and eclectic music (we have found some great playlists on Spotify) will complete the scene. Give yourself an evening to enjoy a wonderful fiesta and good company. Your heart will thank you.
Sincerely,
Barb Greenwood

Profile on Petitgrain essential oil:

Petitgrain essential oil sits on the cusp of a top/middle note and in doing so is balanced between sedative and stimulant. Though it has many of the same chemicals and properties of its cousin Neroli, Petitgrain has a more green, fresh, tart floral scent. It is uplifting for depression while also being useful as a remedy for insomnia. In skin care Petitgrain can benefit acne and dandruff as it can help to control the over production of sebum and is a gentle antiseptic.
Petitgrain can be found in our Higher BeingNurturanceShades of AutumnStressbusterSunshine and Thymus blends; as well as our Professional Start up Kit.

Profile on Scents & Sensuality Blend:

The heady floral scents of Rose, Jasmine and Ylang ylang are grounded by the Sandalwood and Clary Sage; Mandarin adds a touch of citrus sweetness. Scents & Sensuality is a wonderful addition to a sumptuous bath, relaxing massage or even as a natural perfume.

Profile on Bubble Bath:

What better way to treat yourself or your partner than to a tranquil bubble bath after a long day. Our unscented Bubble Bath is the perfect base to create a custom bathing experience. Add a couple drops of your favorite essential oil or blend to create the ambiance you desire.

Whether for yourself, a friend, or your love these bath melts will be a treat for your body & leave your skin soft and nourished.

Did you know:
Giving yourself the gift of just 15 minutes of meditation a day can significantly reduce stress levels in your life. Studies have shown that individuals who made space to meditate mindfully for 15 minutes a day reported lower levels of negative feelings, and higher levels of wellbeing. Anxiety and reactiveness also noticeably decreased.
