2023 06: Aromatherapy Newsletter June 2023
Green Valley Aromatherapy – June 2023

Dear Aromatherapy Friends,
Happy June!
The market on Wednesday afternoons in downtown Courtenay have started up again this month & we are all looking forward to the refreshing energy the vendors, music and people will bring to Duncan Avenue!
With the beautiful weather and heat remember to stay hydrated; if you happen to get too much sun a good remedy to soothe burnt skin is a combination of lavender hydrosol, peppermint floral water and liquid aloe vera. Keep in a spray bottle for easy use and store in the fridge for an extra rejuvenating spritz.
Have a beautiful month!
Aromatically yours,
Barb Greenwood
profile on ginger essential oil

Ginger is a warming essential oil that is well known for its ability to assist with digestion as well as calm upset stomachs. It may also help with hangovers and motion sickness.
Ginger essential oil is effective for aching muscles, rheumatism and stomach cramps and nausea which are soothed by its fiery properties. It is also considered a powerful nerve tonic, good for exhaustion and mental fatigue. It is a good essential oil to use in massage oils to help with arthritis, rheumatism and muscular pain due to its analgesic and rubefacient properties (it is important to note, however, that a single drop in a massage oil should be sufficient as higher concentrations can irritate the skin).
Ginger is can be found in the following blends & kits: Acheaway Blend, Eclipse Blend, Sniff-Be-Gone Blend, Tummies Blend, Chakra Blend – Throat & Personal Start-Up Kit, Professional Start-Up Kit, Top 30 Kit.
profile on thymus blend

Thymus is the eighth chakra, or high heart, which works as a reflex center for higher levels of consciousness.
It is located in the thymus area between the heart and the throat. This chakra governs the thymus gland and various hormonal functions. It is associated with compassion and caring for ones-self on an emotional, mental, spiritual and physical level.
The Thymus chakra has been referred to as the “Soul Seat” which is the source of meaning, direction and spiritual longing in life. If this chakra is clouded, one is unable to know what their purpose in life is and life appears meaningless and empty. Once this chakra becomes open and balanced, one becomes open to higher spiritual levels with both love and aspiration for the Divine, and the ability to express selfless love to those around you.
The thymus chakra is connected to the color aquamarine, the Earth element and self-nurturing. Some crystals associated with this chakra are aquamarine, turquoise, amazonite, and apophyllite.
The Thymus Chakra blend is a pure essential oil blend of Myrrh, Sweet Orange, Bitter Orange, Petitgrain and Ylang Ylang
The Thymus Chakra blend is available in the Chakra Blend Set.
