2025 02: Aromatherapy Newsletter February 2025

Green Valley Aromatherapy – February 2025

Dear Aromatherapy Friends,

What a gorgeous, and frigid February we’ve experienced so far on Vancouver Island!

Did you know that adding warming essential oils such as black pepper, cinnamon, clove, ginger and rosemary can take the edge off of those chilly days? They also happen to be some of the best essential oils to use against the germs and viruses that seem to be prevalent these days. Blends we would recommend during these brisk months include: 20 Year Celebration, Auntie Vi, Eclipse, Magic Moments, Sniff-B-Gone and Terminator.

Wishing you a beautiful, cozy February.

Aromatically yours,

Barb Greenwood

did you know?

February has two flowers to represent the month: Violet and Iris.

As with many other flowers, the iris’ meaning can vary depending on the variety and colour of the flower. However, generally speaking, it is seen to represent faith, hope and wisdom. As the gentle petals strengthen in warmer weather, they also symbolise the start of spring and new beginnings.

The violet can signify “Modesty” and “Humility” and is often looked upon as a sign of innocence. Bunches of violets were hence used as gifts for newlyweds. Violets are symbolic of faith, mystical awareness, inspiration, spiritual passion, profuseness and sovereignty.
