Hydrosols
Hydrosols are 100% non-alcoholic waters that are drawn straight from the aromatherapy still. They are a true product of distillation and cannot be manufactured synthetically.
Floral Waters are made by adding 1%-2% of an essential oil or absolute to distilled water. As essential oils are not water soluble, small amounts of emulsifiers and preservatives are added.
Hydrosol or floral water properties are similar to those of its essential oil, but they are gentler. They can be used in creams, lotions, compresses, facial misters, body sprays and other recipes. Hydrosols and floral waters are soothing and antiseptic- great for skin rashes, burns & after sun. Gentle enough to be used on children and the elderly, where essential oils may be too powerful. Do not take internally. We recommend keeping your hydrosols and floral waters in the fridge to extend their shelf life.
