This essential oil can bring relief to digestive issues such as cramps, constipation and intestinal gas. It has also been known to alleviate symptoms of stress, nervousness, emotional exhaustion, mental fatigue and tension. Muscle and joint pain can also be eased when using this oil.
Unlike Spanish Sage, Dalmatian Sage contains thujone, a ketone which is a chemical compound that has analgesic, antiviral, antibacterial, expectorant, stimulant properties. Thujone can also cause skin irritation and neurotoxicity with prolonged use, so care must be used and a maximum dilution of 0.4% is recommended.
