Stomach ache recipe

Stomach aches are no fun for anyone. This recipe uses essential oils that are known to help soothe the pain of a tummy ache. This recipe can be used on children who are over 5 years of age.

Lavender essential oil is a calming, analgesic oil, which helps relieve symptoms of pain from a stomach ache. Geranium essential oil is balancing and anti-inflammatory. Peppermint has been traditionally used for various stomach ailments. Peppermint essential oil is an anti-spasmodic, and a stimulant. And lastly, Rosemary essential oil is an analgesic, and anti-septic.

Add the 20 drops to 30mls of vegetable oil. Mix well, and massage the stomach gently in a clock wise direction.

Essential oils are very concentrated, and if ingested, they can damage the stomach lining. Aromatherapists generally do not recommend ingesting essential oils because of this. Stomach issues, like tummy aches, can be treated by putting diluted oils onto the skin, and massaging the area in a clock-wise motion.
