Dear Aromatherapy Friends,
These first few weeks of spring have been lovely on Vancouver Island. We have had our share of ‘April showers’ but some beautiful days with blue sky’s and sun as well.
Being surrounded by the burgeoning new life of our local flowers and trees, we at Green Valley Aromatherapy can’t help but feel inspired. We are working away on developing new products and wonderful blends.
With the new energy of spring we suggest refreshing your spaces with lighter, softer scents, such as Spring Party, Sunshine, Peace and Morning Bloom.

profile on Bergamot essential oil
The delightfully uplifting, citrus scent of Bergamot is a definite favorite at Green Valley Aromatherapy.
Bergamot essential oil is best known for its antidepressant and soothing qualities. Generally well-tolerated, Bergamot can be useful when treating nervousness, anxiety and insomnia and may even be helpful for hyperactivity. This lovely oils antiseptic properties make it excellent for oily, acneic and infected skin conditions. A hot compress of bergamot can be used on boils to draw out the infection and to help promote healing.
Did you know that bergamot is used to flavour the ever-popular Earl Grey Tea?!

With the beauty of spring comes seasonal allergies for many. Our Breathe Easy blend was created to help alleviate the discomfort of stuffed or runny noses, irritated sinuses and congested chests. A blend of Eucalyptus Radiata, Frankincense, Goldenrod, Lavender, Lemon and Ravintsara, Breathe Easy is excellent in an ultrasonic diffuser or a personal inhaler when you’re on the go.

A pure and gentle organic soap containing water, saponified organic coconut oil and saponified organic sunflower oil with kosher vegetable glycerine. Excellent for children and those with sensitive skin. Has a natural clear pale amber colour, no fragrances or chemicals. It also contains no surfactants.
Our castile soap can be used as a shampoo, body cleanser, hand wash or a mild laundry detergent. You can keep it scent-free or add a few drops of your favorite essential oil or blend. Some of our favorite additions include: Cleanse, Energize, Peace, Spring Party and Terminator.
king charles coronation anointing oil
With King Charles’ official coronation set to take place next month, we thought it would be fun to create a version of the traditional anointing oil used during the ceremony.
To 30mls of a base oil of your choice add the following essential oils:
7 drops of Neroli
4 drops of Rose
3 drops of Jasmine
2 drops of Benzoin
2 drops of Cinnamon
Mix gently and use as a lovely perfume, massage oil or after-bath moisturizer.
