Description
Eucalyptus, citriodora (lemon) is steam distilled from the leaves of the tree to produce an oil that is pale yellow in color. Some of the countries of origin include China and Australia. Its main chemical constituents are cineol, pinene, limonene and phellandrene. It has a high percentage of citronellal and it has a great lemon scent.
Lemon Eucalyptus is a wonderful air freshener. It clears the air by surrounding and destroying the germ-carrying bacteria. It is a strong anti-fungal and appears to have anti-staph effects. It has good deodorant capabilities, making it great for various sanitation applications. Due to its high citronellal content, Lemon Eucalyptus makes an effective insecticide. It is a gentler version of eucalyptus globulous.
Eucalyptus citriodora blends well with Juniper essential oil, Lavender essential oil, Lemon essential oil, Lemongrass essential oil, Pine essential oil and Thyme essential oil.
